It is May of 2012 and I am currently updating my resume that has been sitting dormant for the past 4 years. During that time I earned 2 college degrees and gained experience in a number of areas. On these pages you will find my resume, an employment history
and a collection of other qualifications for a variety of positions.
By the way, I graduated summa cum laude in both fields of study. I have been developing my skills in a number of areas, from accounting to computer systems. Included in the mix are graphic design, database development, web design, and business & manufacturing management. I am focusing on accounting related topics now as I dedicate a lot of my time studying for the CPA Exam. Most of what I have on this site currently is not related to accounting per se, but with buffet of experiences I have had I am looking forward to eventually providing accounting and business consulting services to the local area, or possibly working in a C-Suite position in a local company.
I was in the graphic
arts field for 30 years, have also been doing graphic
design for several years in and outside of the workplace, and have taken on numerous projects outside of the graphic arts arena.
A limited portfolio of projects is on the projects page. I am an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign
CS and Photoshop CS, and have used those and other applications to
design items for non-profits and personal, including newsletters,
calendars, t-shirts, graphics for websites, candy wrappers, ad nauseam. I am also an amateur photographer
and use Photoshop to correct and modify the pictures. I've also played
with logo design and corporate identity for decades.
In the area of web design, I am a Certified Dreamweaver
Developer. I have actually been creating web pages since 1995, using
HTML and perl. I am also working with PHP/MySQL to
develop database driven sites in a Linux/Apache environment.
A recent database driven web site I developed is Tyler
Web Sites. In addition to creating new designs, I also update and repair older websites, manage the web space with on-line applications in cpanel and currently manage a website hosting service.
You will also find information about my programming skills, and
links to some of the applications I've written, including the latest
database applications in Microsoft Access.
I'm also quite adapt in the area of perpetual inventory
control, management accounting, mail management and various other areas. You may surmise from
the things I've been involved with, I am very detail oriented. In addition I am a fast learner and capable of appropriating the resources available to better manage an operation.
If you have a particular job that for which I may be suited, please
use my contact page. And be sure to use a name, subject and content that doesn't look like spam.
Thank you for browsing.
